Rochedale South sits between Rochedale and Springwood on the eastern side of the Pacific Motorway. Its convenient position and easy access means that families will find many of the services and facilities they require both within their suburb and in neighbouring areas.The closest shopping centre is located at Springwood; however, Westfield Garden City is a short car ride away and is easily accessed via the Pacific Motorway. Both retail precincts also offer access to bus interchanges for those seeking public transport to local centres or Brisbane City.

Families are serviced by the Rochedale South and Springwood Road Primary Schools; while surrounding suburbs offer a variety of schooling, including public and private secondary schools.

The suburb has several parks, and the green spaces of Priestdale and Springwood, including Lowe Oval, which hosts local AFL and touch football competitions, are nearby and the great new entertainment and restaurant at the new Brisbane Lions Club.

The Pacific and Gateway Motorways are conveniently located and offer residents good access to the Gold and Sunshine Coasts, as well as the Brisbane domestic and international airports.
