Are you ready for NBN in 2016 for Springwood

By Michael Lanskey

BRISBANE’S southern and eastern suburbs have been put on the fast-track for the rollout of the National Broadband Network.

The Australian Government has released a plan promising to begin construction to connect 9.5 million premises to the network by September 2018.

This includes about 58,400 homes and businesses in the Federal Electorate of Bonner.

The plan includes a breakdown of when the network will be starting in specific locations and what technology will be used.

More than 1.3 million Australian homes and businesses already have access to the network service and access for a further 700,000 homes and business is underway.

About 600,000 premises have bought a connection to the network.

Member for Bonner Ross Vasta said residents and businesses would benefit from the new plan.

“The Coalition Government understands that internet access is important for our community and will transform education, health care and other critical online services,” Mr Vasta said.
